Celebrating 100 years of the Salesian Sisters in Ireland

20201023_151403

Ms. Hogan's 2nd class have been learning a bit about the history of the Salesian Sisters in Ireland. We could not believe that they had arrived in Limerick 100 years ago! We saw some photographs from that time and compared them to now. Things looked very different then. We saw some of the places that the Sisters have lived and listened to some stories from their lives. We then made some lovely banners to celebrate their centenary. Today, each child received a beautiful gift from the Sisters, a seedbomb! We were so excited and cannot wait to plant them and watch them grow! A big thank you to the Salesian Sisters for our very thoughtful gifts 💛💜💗
