Retirement celebrations

It was a sad day for us all in Salesian Primary school as we paid tribute to Sr. Frances, wishing her well on her upcoming retirement. Sr Frances began teaching here in 1997 and has spent the past 23 years going over and above each and every day. Sr.Frances is dedicated and commited to her work and the staff and pupils will miss her dearly. There were lots of special events planned today to mark this day for Sr. Frances and to show her our appreciation for all that she has done for us in Salesian Primary School. The day began with a special mass in the Holy Rosary  with staff, pupils, parents and family and friends joining via live stream. When Sr. Frances returned to school she had the opportunity to watch a 'Zoom Presentation' from the 6th class girls. She then watched a pre recorded presentation put together by her 4th class girls. Afterwards Sr. Frances officially opened our new school library which she spent so much time organising for us during the summer months. We were thrilled to have her as our 'special guest' to cut the ribbon for us and we look forward to the days when the library can be in full use again.  We were delighted to be able to mark this special day for Sr. Frances and we wish her the very best of luck on her retirement.
