'I am a Salesian' was the theme explored by Mrs. Dooley Ryan's and Ms. O'Donnell's 6th class in October. We delved into the fascinating history of the Salesian Sisters in Ireland, listened to an interview with Myles Dungan and Dr. Sinéad McCoole, author of 'Against the Odds' and revised the core values of Salesians. We responded through drama, art and poetry and prepared questions to interview Sr Betty Baker. Together with Mrs. Dowling's 5th and 6th Class, the girls performed a 45 minute show for the Salesian Sisters, via Zoom. It was a  powerful performance and the girls shone, doing themselves and our school proud. The Salesian Sisters enjoyed and appreciated the girls' efforts. With our Zoom performance, Halloween dress up and receiving 'Seedbomb' gifts from the Salesian Sisters, we will all remember our special celebrations on 23rd October 2020 with fond memories!
